Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ), achieved significant success by being ranked among the best universities in Asia in the 2025 Asia University Rankings published by Times Higher Education (THE). In the evaluation conducted by THE, one of the world's leading higher education ranking organizations, MAKÜ was positioned in the 601+ band in the overall Asia ranking.
The university scored between 13.6-28.2 under the overall performance category. MAKÜ, which received a remarkable score of 32.9 especially in the “Research Quality” category, scored 18.7 in “Industry Income,” 23.6 in “International Outlook,” 11.5 in “Research Environment,” and 18.8 in “Teaching.” These data not only show that the university has made significant progress both academically and internationally but also contribute to making the Turkish higher education system more visible on the international stage.
